Dear Partners,

I am writing to extend my warm and sincere thanks to all of you for your contribution to all the AFRICANSHOWCASE MARKET events. Your participation no doubt, has painted a colourful image of skill, mastery and entrepreneurship in the minds of our hosts. I am grateful to God for the opportunity and great privilege. Once more, I appreciate each and everyone of you.

Each year, the AFRICANSHOWCASE MARKET grows from strength to strength, and this year is no different – currently we have 195 traders registered with us. Part of the reason for this has been ‘word-of-mouth’ recommendations from the traders. I would like to thank you for this, and to encourage you to carry on doing so, we can only get bigger and better.

AUG 10: CHINGFORD FESTIVAL WALTHAMSTOW

Walthamstow Council will be hosting AFRICANSHOWCASE MARKET at the Chingford Festival, with headline artist Rose Royce live on stage singing hits such as "Carwash" and “Love don’t live here”

They will provide tables and chairs, but please take your marquee or gazebo

AUG 15: BARKING

This is the biggest and most successful AFRICANSHOWCASE FESTIVAL MARKET in the UK - see you there on August 15, 2008 – please spread the word. .

AFRICANSHOWCASE MARKET will be 5 years old this September, and to celebrate and thank all of our partners, we will be holding an award night. Your invites will follow shortly

FIRE EATING AND ACROBAT PERFORMING LIVE AT THE WETLAND
CENTRE Tropical Summer in Barnes

OPPORTUNITY TO NETWORK

The WWT London Wetland Centre on the riverside in Barnes will be
transformed on Friday 29TH August 2008 for a Tropical Summer Africa
evening. Guests will be able to experience an evening of food, wine,
music and African market stalls in the grounds of the 105 acre
reserve.

The evening begins with a delicious three course meal which includes
African specialises such as Bobotie, Boerewors and Efo Soup, as well
as delicious seafood and salads. There will be a barbeque and spit
roast and vegetarian options will be available.

Food will be accompanied by African themed entertainment/head wrap
workshop, which includes dancing. Guests can also buy traditional
crafts from African showcase market stalls.

Tickets to Tropical Summer Africa include a three course meal, a glass of wine and entry to the reserve. Tickets cost £19.95 per person and the evening starts at 7.30pm.
